The Gospel of Mark- The Jesus We're Aching For published by Lifeway 2014
  • In the Gospel of Mark follow Jesus through His days of early ministry all the way to the cross.  It's there we discover what it means to be the recipients of His excessive compassion and the very reason for His all-consuming passion.
  • This is a 7 session study with 6 weeks of homework. DVD sessions range between 30 and 40 minutes.  Session 1) Hold Me, please; 2) The price of discipleship and the invaluable prize of a forever family; 3) The one who prefers our chopsticks to Beethoven; 4) The likely catalyst of unbelief; 5) Calling all curb sitters; 6) When real love leads to big trouble; 7) Saving the last for best (*only 17 minutes long)  The listening guide and video discussion questions are in the workbook.  
  • ​Workbook contains 6 weeks of homework.  Week 1) Aggressive grace; 2) Chickens and champions; 3) The scandal of a scarcity mentality; 4) Giving up the "right" to ride shotgun; 5) The beginning of His earthly ministry; 6) The beautiful outcome of our Lord's betrayal.  Leaders help is in the back of the workbook.

Believing Jesus-A Journey Through the Book of ACTS published by W Publishing 2015
  • As a regular speaker on the Women of Faith tour, Lisa draws on her theological depth and comedic wit as she retraces the steps of the early Christians. The book of ACTS shows how the first believers were willing to risk everything to follow Christ.
  • This is an 8 week study with 7 weeks of homework.  Session 1) The Declarations that Define Us; 2) Earth, Wind, and Celestial Fire; 3) Checkered Pasts Can make Incredible Preachers; 4) What's Mine is Yours; 5) Loving More People, More; 6) The Need to be ReGospeled; 7) Turning Your World Upside Down; 8) Bearing the Chain Because. The video sessions are 15-25 minutes long.
  • Study Guide contains Introduction, welcome/get to know each other questions, video notes, discussion questions and homework.  Estimate about 20 minutes each day for the homework.  Five homework lessons each week. 

Hebrews-The Nearness of King Jesus published by Lifeway 2013
  • The book of Hebrews highlights two contrasting realities: Jesus is supreme, and Jesus is approachable. Lisa will help you engage and treasure the book of Hebrews as you draw near to Jesus.
  • This is a 8 session study, 7 weeks of homework.  Each video session is 30-40 minutes long.  The homework is medium.  Lighter than a typical Beth Moore but still in depth.  Allow about 30 each day for homework, 5 days of homework per week.  The homework is set up with several options to fit many schedules and desired levels of depth.  The DVD has a bonus feature with a special teaching by Mandisa.


Malachi- A Love that Never Let's Go published by Lifeway 2012
  • Even on our worst day, God won't leave us.  Explore God's unchanging love in Malachi.  No matter how often we mess up, God loves His broken people.
  • This is an 8 week study of the Israelites coming home from Jerusalem.  Session1) When your Tara's trashed (and your dog is dead); 2) God's definitive declaration of affection; 3) Going Big or Going Home; 4) Our Creator is a Committed Family Man; 5) When Divine Grace Masquerades as Discipline; 6) God's Miraculous Return on Our Meager Investments; 7) The Promise of Pirouetting Livestock; 8) Closing the Book of Malachi.
  • There are 7 weeks of homework.  Lisa will challenge you.  This is not a look up the verse and fill in the blank type of homework.  You will have to get personal with yourself and think about how you feel on some big issues.
