Read the Bible for LIFE - Listen, Understand, Respond Published by Lifeway 2010
  • Read the Bible for Life will help believers grasp the grand story of Scripture.  You will learn how the books of the Bible fit together to communicated God's redemptive message.
  • You will also discover skills for listening to, understanding, and responding to God's Word in ways that will change your life.
  • This is a 9 session study.  Each DVD session is about 30 minutes long. Session 1 - Reading the Bible for Life; Session 2 - Reading the Bible for Context; Session 3 - Reading the Stories of the Old Testament; Session 4 - Reading the Law and the Prophets; Session 5 - Reading the Psalms; Session 6 - Reading the Stories of the New Testament; Session 7 - Reading the Teachings of Jesus;  Session 8 - Reading the New Testament Letters and Revelation; Session 9 - Reading the Bible Today.
  • The workbook contains a group experience, which is about 5 group discussion questions and a leadership guide for each session.  The workbook also includes a listening guide to accompany the DVD and 5 days of weekly homework.  Homework should take about half an hour per day.
  • How to have a quiet time, choosing a translation that is right for you, and seeing God as the hero of the stories are a few of the topics covered in the homework.  A New Testament timeline is included in Session 6.
  • This study would be great for any small group!  A fantastic study to help connect the dots of Scripture and God's plan of redemption.
