Do you ever think to yourself, "Oh yeah I know that" then God takes it a bit further and your like, "I knew that but I didn't REALLY KNOW that!" That is how it has been the last few months with "Christ In Me" or "In Christ". Truth is ...I did know this, but yet I didn't. I have done Beth Moore's Tabernacle study, which is actually called "A Woman's Heart" but a lot of us, myself included, refer to it as the Tabernacle study, somehow I didn't really get it. In February, I attended a Grace Life Conference put on by Exchanged Life Ministries then I did the follow up workshops. They have great diagrams!! If you have a chance to go to one of these, GO! (They may even come to your church, call them) I digress...Now, as God often does, He kept with the same theme. Within a few weeks my Bible study group began Kay Arthur's Colossians/Philemon study. Did you know that the word "with Christ" is not used very often? It is "in Christ". I always hear people say, "Christ is with you" or "Christ be with you". He is NOT just with you He is IN you. You have like swallowed Him into your soul. Colossians 1:27 "this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory". Plus, to add to the theme, last night on Twitter I saw Jeremy Camps video "Christ In Me"!! God is so much fun!!!
I just encourage you to get into His Word, ask Him to help you see. His blessings are so fun!!
Paul's writings (the New Testament epistles of Romans through Philemon) contain the words "in Christ" 83 times in the New King James version; 81 times in the King James. Philemon alone (one chapter, 25 verses) includes the words "in Christ" three times. www.answers.com
Teaching tip- when your video is long, like Beth Moore's Inheritance or Revelation, and you are watching it in one session, try something with peppermint mid way through or about 45 minutes into the video. (Washington Post)
